Ride Weekend at UB North
Ride for Roswell takes over the University at Buffalo’s North Campus on Ride Weekend.
We know UB can feel huge, but don't worry!
We’ve got you covered with parking information, maps and more to make sure you know exactly where you’re going. When in doubt, find a Ride volunteer or stop by Guest Services.
Celebration of Hope
Arrive to campus via the Rensch Road entrance and follow the signage and the directions from UB Police and parking attendants.
There will be a walking path to check-in and golf cart taxis will be available after 4 p.m. on Friday.
Check-in
Rider check-in is Thursday, June 25 from 10 a.m. – 7 p.m. and Friday, June 26 from 10 a.m. – 7 p.m. in Governors C lot and parking is available in the Governors B Lot.
There is only way to navigate to Governors B lot. Arrive on John James Audubon Parkway northbound, exit right onto White Road and Governors B lot entrance will be on your right.
Ride Day
On Ride Day, you should enter campus from Rensch Road or Flint Road.
Once on campus, parking attendants and UB Police will direct you to the appropriate parking lots so you can go about your Ride Weekend with ease.
Ride Day Parking
Here’s everything you need to know about parking on Saturday, June 27!
Riders, Volunteers & Spectators
Park in the Hochstetter A & B lots, Jacobs A, B and C lots and Baird A lot.
Extra Mile Club (EMC) and EMC Silver
Use the blue parking pass you received at check-in to park in Governors B, Fronczak A and B lots. Navigate to this lot using Rensch Road to northbound on John James Audobon Parkway. You will exit right on White Road and turn right into your parking lot.
ADA Parking
Display your ADA pass to park in Governors A lot. Navigate to this lot using Rensch Road to northbound on John James Audobon Parkway. You will make a right on White Road and turn right into your lot.
Team Captains with a Bring Your Own Tent (BYOT)

Only one car from your team will be issued a parking pass for the Cooke A lot, the remaining teammates should follow parking instructions for their rider level.
Use the purple parking pass you receive at check-in to park in Cooke A lot, which you can access from Rensch Road to Hadley Road. After parking, volunteers will be available to help transport any supplies and materials from the Cooke A lot to the BYOT area.
Walk or ride your bike to the BYOT area as transport vehicles are for supplies only. Golf cart taxi are available for walkers if needed.
Please note, your BYOT number assignments are not issued until arrival.
Team Captains with a Rented Tent in Team Tent Village

On Ride Day, you will NOT be able to drive up close to your team tent. To drop off & transport items, you MUST use Cooke A Parking Lot and a volunteer will be there to help. You will receive a parking pass for Cooke A at check-in on Thursday or Friday. Only one car from your team will be issued a parking pass.
Dropping off on Friday? Between 12 p.m. – 3 p.m., you can temporarily park in Governors D parking lot and DIY drop off items for your team tent. Leaving items overnight is at your own risk.
After parking, please make your way to the event space located in the Jarvis A and Governors C & D lots. Team Tent Village, is located directly above Governors C lot and next to the start and finish line.

We’re excited to introduce the Team Services HUB, conveniently located on the northmost edge of Governors C Lot (at the entrance to Sponsor & Rented Team Tent area).

Sponsor & Rented Tents
Sponsor & Rented Tent Supply Drop-off
Friday, June 26
12:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.
During this window, the Rented Tent Area will be open for setup and decorating. Your tent, tables, and chairs will be set up and ready upon arrival. Simply bring any additional items, such as decorations, banners, streamers, and any supplies you would like available to your team/in your tent on Ride Day.
Vehicles can temporarily park in northmost row of Governors C Lot to unload supplies to tents.
Once parked, please proceed to the Team Services Hub in Governors C Lot where Ride volunteers will provide parked vehicles an “unloading” tag to place on the windshield. The driver must provide a phone number upon arrival.
After receiving your tag, Ride volunteers will direct you to your rented tent location.
If the team representative dropping supplies plans to stay for the Celebration of Hope, their vehicle must be moved to Governors B lot immediately after unloading is complete. No parking permit is required for Celebration of Hope parking on Friday evening.
No later than 4:00 p.m. ALL vehicles in the Sponsor & Rented Tent area must relocate to Celebration of Hope Parking (Governors B Lot).
Saturday, June 27
6:00 - 10:00 a.m.
Please note the Sponsor & Rented Tent area is not accessible by car on Saturday
During this window, teams will use the Team Tent Drop-off zone in the Rensch Entrance loop to unload supplies, and Transport Services will move your supplies directly to your assigned tent space.
Only one parking pass will be issued to your team for the Cooke A lot and this vehicle can remain in this lot for the duration of the event. Remaining teammates should follow parking instructions for their rider level (i.e. general parking, Extra Mile Club, ADA)
Parking permits are required for Cooke A Lot on Saturday and will be mailed to you. Please remember to bring your pass and hang it on your rearview mirror before arriving at UB!
After dropping supplies and parking, you may proceed directly to your tent if you already know its location. Otherwise, please visit the Team Services Hub in Governors C Lot where Ride volunteers can direct you to your tent location.
Sponsor & Rented Tent Pick-up

11:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.
Please note the Sponsor & Rented Tent area is not accessible by car on Saturday
During this window and after you have packed up your supplies, please proceed to the Team Services Hub to coordinate transport of your supplies back to the Team Tent Drop-off zone (in the Rensch Entrance loop).
Retrieve your vehicle and proceed to the Team Tent Drop-off zone in the Rensch Entrance loop to pick up your supplies.
Bring Your Own Tent
BYO Tent & Supply Drop-off
Friday, June 26
12:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.
During this window, the BYO Tent area can be accessed for self-serve setup and decorating.
Vehicles can temporarily park in Jarvis A lot to unload supplies.
Upon arrival at the Jarvis A entrance (off Hamilton Road), Ride volunteers will greet you and direct you to an available BYO tent space.
BYO Tent number assignments are not issued until arrival.
If the team representative dropping supplies plans to stay for the Celebration of Hope, their vehicle must be moved to Governors B lot immediately after unloading is complete. No parking permit is required for Celebration of Hope parking on Friday evening.

BYO Tent Pick-up
Saturday, June 27
11:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.
Please note the Sponsor & Rented Tent area is not accessible by car on Saturday
All BYO Tent teams are responsible for teardown and general cleanup of their supplies.
During this window and after you have packed up your tent and supplies, please proceed to the BYOT Check-In Tent to coordinate transport of your supplies back to the Team Tent Drop-off zone (in the Rensch Entrance loop).
Retrieve your vehicle and proceed to the Team Tent Drop-off zone in the Rensch Entrance loop to pick up your supplies.
Additional BYO TENT Details
Personal grills are not permitted at the event.
You must bring sandbags or weights to secure your tent. NO STAKING is allowed due to the location of the underground utility lines. This will be STRICTLY enforced.
Glass bottles are not allowed.
Third-party tents are not allowed.
All tents MUST comply with NYS Fire Code 20.04 and will have a tag affixed certifying treatment for flame resistance. Non-compliant tents will be removed at the discretion of the UB Office of Environmental Health and Safety.
Rented Team Tents in Team Tent Village
Friday, June 26
12:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.
During this window, the rented team tent area can be accessed for self-serve setup and decorating. Vehicles can temporarily park in the northmost row of Governors C lot to unload items to tents.
Drop-off vehicles will receive an “unloading” tag placed on the windshield and the driver must provide a phone number upon arrival. If the team representative dropping supplies is staying for Celebration of Hope, the vehicle will need to relocate to Governors B for the duration of the event immediately after unloading.
Saturday, June 27
6:00 - 10:00 a.m.
On Ride Day, you will NOT be able to drive up close to your team tent. To drop off and transport items during this window, you must use a drop-off zone in the Rensch Entrance loop where Transport Service will move your supplies to your specific tent location.
After dropping supplies, please use the parking pass for Cooke A lot that the Team Captain received in the mail. Only one car from your team will be issued a parking pass.
Walk or ride your bike to your specific tent location or, if you need help navigating to your rented tent, please walk or ride to the Team Services Hub in Governors C lot for assistance. Golf cart taxis are available for walkers if needed.
Here are a few other reminders:
All permit holders, please use the Rensch Road entrance at UB.
Police and parking attendants will be on campus directing you to the designated parking areas. Look for the people holding the flags if you have questions!
Write down what lot you parked in. That will help later in the day when you’re looking for your car after you ride.

General Parking
All parking lots open at 5 a.m. on Ride Day. Here’s what you need to know:
Riders: Park in the Hochstetter A & B lots, Jacobs A, B and C lots and Baird A lot.
Extra Mile Club and Extra Mile Club Silver members: You will receive your parking pass when you check-in on Thursday and Friday. Bring your issued parking pass for the Governors B lot and Fronczak A & B lots.
Team Captains with a Bring Your Own Tent: You will receive your parking pass when you check-in on Thursday and Friday. Bring your issued parking pass for the Governors B lot. Only one car from your team will be issued a parking pass.
Team Captains with a Team Tent: On Ride Day, because of road closures around the event area you will not be able to drive up close to your team tent. If you need help transporting items to your team tent, one car from your team may park in the Cooke A parking lot. You will receive a parking pass for Cooke A when you check-in on Thursday and Friday. Only one car from your team will be issued a parking pass. Alternately, on Friday from 12pm-3pm, you can temporarily park in Governors D parking lot and DIY drop off items for your team tent. Leaving items overnight is at your own risk.
