Learn more about the 11 routes for The Ride For Roswell. From 3-mile to 102-mile routes, there’s a route for everyone! The Ride For Roswell covers 14 municipalities, two counties, two countries and over 400 miles. No matter what path you choose, we’re all pedaling for the same passionate cause: to make this world cancer-free.
NOTE: All riders must check in at packet pickup at least one hour prior to their route start time. If you checked in at packet pickup on Thursday or Friday, you can go straight to the start line on Ride Day (make sure you’re wearing your bib!). All routes line up 30 minutes before their indicated start time.

A few things to know
Each route has a flat registration rate of $20 to cover event costs, and a fundraising minimum. Youth riders ages 17 and younger are only required to raise a minimum of $50 for all routes.
Helmets are required for all riders. There are rest stops located throughout each route that allow riders a place to relax, rehydrate and recharge before continuing along their ride. Safety is a priority for The Ride For Roswell!
* Canada Routes – Special Notes
Riders on the Canada routes will need to provide official documentation to The Ride For Roswell and customs officials to verify their ability to cross international borders. Riders will need to bring their personal ID for border crossing. If you did not submit your ID on time, or if you registered after June 6 and did not have the opportunity to be prescreened, tell the border official who will direct you to a standard customs lane. Both Peace Bridge and Rainbow Bridge will hold a bicycles-only lane for us. Rainbow Bridge reserved lane back to the US closes at 10:30 am
Merges – The 46 Mile Canada route merges with the 10-20-30 Mile river routes at Clinton and Broad streets, City of Tonawanda, and ride together to UB Finish Line. Please vary your speed to accommodate slower riders of all experience levels.
Since the Canada routes start at Roswell Park and end at UB North, there will be limited round trip shuttles scheduled between UB North and Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center on Saturday, June 23. Buses will leave UB every 15 minutes, from 10:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. You are responsible for arranging your own transportation.
There is no bag drop available at Roswell Park Campus for Saturday routes. We cannot be responsible for personal items left behind. Please store all the items you cannot wear or carry on your bike locked in your vehicle.
** 102-Mile Country Century – Special Notes
The 102 Mile Route is new for 2018. Check the new online route map for details. PLEASE NOTE that the 2018 route does not go to Golden Hills State Park.
Rest Stops – There are 24 miles between Akron Falls rest stop and the Genesee County rest stop at North Darien Bible Church. Riders must stop at Akron Falls to restore, rehydrate, and refill water bottles.
Gate Closings – All riders divert to shortcuts back to UB noted in cue sheets after these times.
- Indian Falls Rd – Akron – 8:15 a.m.
- Rte 5 East Pembroke – 9:15 a.m.
- Martin Cedar – 11:30 a.m.
- Bartel & Ditch – 12:00 p.m.
Steel Deck Bridge Hazard – Block Church Rd and Burdick Rd. This serrated bridge is at grade. High speed and damp conditions will result in crash and injury. Watch your speed and stay in control on this bridge.
All inbound Country Routes merge at Wolcott and Northfield, Clarence. Vary your speed accordingly.
NOTE: New riders MUST pre-qualify for the century route. You can do this by demonstrating proof of having done a ride of more than 62.5 miles at an average speed of at least 15 mph (completing a 62.5-mile ride in five hours or less or a 100-mile ride in eight hours or less). Proof can include a copy of your event registration form or your numbered event bib (or a copy of it), or a GPS data record of your ride.
Western New York rides that will allow you to qualify for the 102-mile route include Tom’s Pro Bike’s Spring Ride; the Ride For Missing Children; and the Tour de Cure.
You may also qualify by completing The Ride For Roswell 65-mile Pre Ride on June 16, 2018. Pre Ride meets at UB North for a 7 a.m. start time. Morning snacks, rest stop and post-ride lunch are provided. RSVP for the June 16 Pre Ride by email – firstname.lastname@example.org
RosRoll riders will ride past iconic Buffalo landmarks – Buffalo Niagara Medical Campus, City Hall, Peace Bridge & Front Park, Richardson Olmsted Campus, Scajaquada Creek, Delaware Park, Forest Lawn Cemetery, Buffalo Museum of Science, Buffalo Central Terminal, and Larkinville.
Don’t miss the LOVE FEST after party –a 60’s/70’s themed party with lunch, beer, music, dancing, games, contests, and celebration! HIPPIE, GROOVY, OUTRAGEOUS attire encouraged!
