The Ride For Roswell wouldn’t be possible without the thousands of volunteers, whose passion and dedication helps make the event possible. We’re currently looking for 2019 volunteers to join us on Saturday, June 22 and we’d love to see you there.
There are three crucial volunteers positions to be filled. See which option is the right fit for you!
Route guides stand along the routes and direct riders at turns and intersections. This is a great position to grab a friend, stand by the action and cheer on our riders. Guides are placed throughout all routes, so it will be easy to find a location that works best for you. Shifts run 3 to 4 hours on Saturday, June 22 from early morning until early afternoon. Sign up for as many or as little shifts you’d like.
Sometimes we don’t know what areas will need extra help come Ride Day. The Ready Team is comprised of floater positions that move to areas where extra help is needed. These positions are essential to Ride Day success. Responsibility can range from relieving volunteers, filling in on special projects, or responding to sudden needs. This position is available Friday, June 21 and Saturday, June 22 for 3 to 4 hour shifts at the University at Buffalo’s North Campus.
Parking & Traffic
Help direct the flow of traffic to designated parking areas, and get riders in and out of cars quickly and efficiently. This volunteer position is vital to keep The Ride running on time, as well as preventing minor and major accidents. These shifts are available for 3 to 4 hours on Friday, June 21 and Saturday, June 22 at University’s at Buffalo’s North Campus and Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center.
All of our volunteer shifts can be scheduled based on your availability. If you are interested in volunteering, please contact our Volunteer Coordinator Dawn Hu at 716-845-1731 or email her at Dawn.Hu@RoswellPark.org.
