Volunteer Positions 2018

Get Involved: 2018 Volunteer Positions

The Ride For Roswell wouldn’t be possible without the thousands of volunteers, whose passion and dedication helps make the event possible. We’re currently looking for 2018 volunteers to join us on Saturday, June 23 and we’d love to see you there.

There are five crucial volunteers positions to be filled. See which option is the right fit for you!

Volunteer Route Guide

Route Guides

Route guides stand along the routes, and direct riders at turns and intersections. This is a great position to grab a friend, stand by the action and cheer on our riders.  Guides are placed throughout all routes so it will be easy to find a location that works best for you. Shifts run 3-4 hours on Saturday from early morning until early afternoon. Sign up for as many or as little as you’d like.

Guest Services Campus Guides

Direct foot traffic with riders and/or pedestrians. Campus Guides are responsible for answering any questions guests have, directing guests, and greeting them when they arrive. This position is available on Friday and Saturday for 3-4 hours at both UB North and Roswell Park campuses.

CLOSED: Volunteer Check In

At volunteer check in, you will be the first person volunteers connect and interact with – you are the welcoming face of The Ride! This position distributes all information and supplies volunteers may need. This position is great for anyone with physical limitations that require seated assignments. These shifts last 4 hours and are available Friday and Saturday at UB North Campus or Roswell Park.

Ready Team

Sometimes we don’t know what areas will need extra help come Ride Day. The Ready Team is comprised of floater positions that move to areas where extra help is needed. These positions are essential to Ride Day success. Responsibility can range from relieving volunteers, filling in on special projects, or responding to sudden needs. This position is available Friday and Saturday for 3-4 hour shifts at UB North Campus.

Volunteer Ready Team

Parking & Traffic

Help direct the flow of traffic to designated parking areas and get riders in and out of cars quickly and efficiently. This volunteer position is vital to keep the event running on time, as well as preventing minor and major accidents. These shifts are available for 3-4 hours Friday and Saturday at UB North Campus and Roswell Park.

All of our volunteer shifts can be scheduled based on your availability. If you are interested in volunteering please contact our Volunteer Coordinator Dawn Hu at 716-845-1731 or email her at Dawn.Hu@RoswellPark.org.
